Rafael Ben-Ari - Israeli Photojournalist and On Location Photographer
Rafael's professional career started at the time Saddam Hussein and his armed forces invaded to Kuwait in 1990. Rafael volunteered to the Israeli Air Force Intelligence and served as an Aerial Photo Analyst and Military Photographer for three years. After Rafael became a freelance photographer, his images have appeared in a large number of publications, magazines and web sites in Israel and around the world. His passion for photography, led him to build an independent Israeli photography service in Israel called Chameleons Eye. Rafael showcased his photography at exhibitions in Australia and New Zealand and he was honored by the Waitangi National Trust of NZ when three of his images were used on NZ stamps in a collector’s edition. Rafael has also received two grants from the Israeli government for "Excellent Artist in photography" in 2005 and 2006. Today Rafael Ben-Ari is one of the busiest photographers in Israel, and every photograph of his is worth more than a thousand words. |
